Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program
The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) helps people with disabilities or ongoing health conditions start businesses in rural Western Canada. Community Futures offices deliver the EDP program and provide business advice, training, mentorship and access to repayable business loans for viable businesses.
Entrepreneurs with disabilities or ongoing health conditions tell us entrepreneurship works for them because it can provide:
- Flexible hours
- Personalized work environments
- A sense of control over their own destiny

How it works
To be eligible for the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program, you must:
- Self-declared having a disability or ongoing health condition
- Live in a rural area.
- Have a viable business idea
- Be able to contribute in some way to your business
