You need to actively maintain your certification by accomplishing 3 activities from the list below every 2 years. Please download the form (link is located right after the list of activities) complete it and return to the Pan West coordinator.

Stay Certified

Individuals are required to apply to maintain their Basic Certification every two years. In order to maintain Basic Certification, individuals must accomplish 3 activities from the list below:

  • Complete a course leading to a Community Futures Designation  – any position
  • Participate or host a peer review audit
  • Attend a Community Futures conference or Annual General Meeting
  • Actively participate in a provincial Community Futures Association by sitting on a board, committee, or sub-committee
  • Actively participate in another provincial or national economic development organization
  • Develop a best practice (e.g. create a training tool, web site, or manual that is used by other Community Futures organizations)
  • Participate in a documented mentorship arrangement
  • Speak at a conference
  • Deliver training outside of their Community Futures area
  • Publish an article that increases Community Futures skills
